Multi-instrumentalist Tara Breen from Ruan, Co. Clare, has won All-Ireland titles on fiddle in every age category right up to the Senior Championship in 2012. She has also won All-Ireland titles on the flute and saxophone. Since completing her degree in University College Cork, Tara has performed as a soloist, in duos, trios and larger ensembles including the Chieftains, Stockton’s Wing, Donal Lunny’s Atlantic Arc and the Carlos Núñez band. She has featured on a number of albums including Ciorras by the band of the same name; The Trí Tones with Conor Moriarty and Stephen Rooney; Avalla with Padraig Rynne, Conor Crimmins and Elaine Hogan; and Nasc with Padraig Rynne, Dónal Lunny and Jim Murray.

Conal O’Kane grew up in South Philadelphia, where he was an active member of the Irish music community. When he was younger, he learned guitar from local musician, John Brennan. His interest in guitar grew, and after completing high school, he enrolled in the BA in Irish Music and Dance at the University of Limerick. His guitar style draws from a wide variety of influences, particularly from jazz and classic rock, while still rooted firmly within the tradition. Between touring with the band, Goitse, Conal teaches guitar in the Limerick area.
