The Traditude weekend festival will feature a stellar array of international, national and local trad, folk and roots acts live in the specially constructed Traditorium at the rear of Gleeson’s Bar on Main Street, Ferbane, Co.Offaly.

Headlining Saturday’s programmee are Máirtín O’Connor, Cathal Hayden & Seamie O’Dowd. Máirtín O’Connor’s name has been synonymous with the accordion for decades both as a master of the instrument and as a composer/arranger. His skill, dexterity, innovation and versatility and soft spoken wit have won him acclaim around the world.

Cathal Sean Hayden was born  in the village of the Rock, Co Tyrone outside Pomeroy, an area immersed in traditional music. The third in a family of eight, he was born into a deep musical background. His father played the banjo and fiddle, and his mother was a pianist, while both grandfathers were fiddle players. His first instrument was a tenor banjo before progressing on to fiddle.

Seamie O Dowd is a guitarist, singer, and songwriter who also plays fiddle, harmonica, mandolin, and a number of other instruments.

Also performing on Saturday are Cormac Crummey, Ali Levack and Jack McRobbie, The Briar Hotel Big Band, Niamh and Daithí and more.

Tickets for either Saturday or Sunday  only cost €35 plus €2.78 booking fee..Tickets for both days combined cost €60 plus €2.78 booking fee. They are available from
