Four Men and A Dog are Cathal Hayden (fiddle and banjo), Stephen Hayden (fiddle), Kevin Doherty (guitar) Gino Lupari (percussion) and Dónal Murphy (accordion). The band has made a name for itself with its eclectic and vivacious blend of traditional Irish music with a wide spectrum of other genres, including rap, Southern rock, jazz, blues, bluegrass, polka, country swing, and even salsa. The band made its debut performance in Murphy’s Bar, Dungiven, County Derry, in 1991 before going on to steal the show at the Belfast Folk Festival later that year, with a high-energy approach that combines furious traditional dance tunes with irreverent new music and inimitable covers. Since that auspicious beginning, the band has headlined some of the largest music festivals around the globe!
Also appearing on the night will be Sorcha Costello (fiddle), Elaine Reilly (banjo) and Kate McHugh (piano) along with Mick O’Brien (uilleann pipes) and Padraic Keane (uilleann pipes) playing selected tunes from The Munster Pipers.
Doors open from 7pm.
